Passwords

Card passwords are 8-digit codes assigned to each card in Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories. When redeemed, they add that card directly to your chest and mark it as obtained. The password system offers a shortcut to acquiring specific cards without relying on duel drops or fusions.

Use the password playground at the top of this page to enter any 8-digit code and see which card it unlocks, along with its starchip cost.

Of the 722 total cards in Forbidden Memories, 698 have valid 8-digit passwords. 24 cards have no password assigned — these are mostly Ritual monsters and Ritual Spell cards (Black Luster Soldier, Magician of Black Chaos, Fortress Whale) alongside special summon-only monsters like Gate Guardian, Meteor B. Dragon, and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, which require specific summoning conditions rather than password redemption.

Cards without a password field are marked with a dash ( — ) in the password column of the table below.

Every password-redeemable card has a starchip cost. When you redeem a password, that amount is deducted from your starchip balance. Starchips are earned by winning duels — at most 5 per duel at S-rank — so accumulating enough for expensive cards requires significant farming.

Card prices range from as low as 10 starchips for common cards up to 999,999 starchips for the rarest and most powerful monsters. The starchip cost is displayed below the card preview when you enter a valid password.

No. Each card password can be redeemed at most once.

Once you redeem a password, that card can still appear in future duel drops, but you cannot buy it twice from the password shop.

Not really — with a maximum of 5 starchips earned per duel (S-rank), buying a 999,999-starchip card would require roughly 200,000 perfect duels. The password shop is best treated as a targeted tool: use it to fill specific gaps in your completion, acquire cards with extremely low drop rates, or obtain otherwise unobtainable cards that do have passwords.

For efficient completion building, farming duelist drops with the right POW/TEC strategy is significantly more practical than farming starchips for passwords.

98 cards are priced at the maximum 999,999 starchips. These are overwhelmingly the most powerful monsters in the game — high-ATK fusion materials like Blue-Eyes White Dragon (3000 ATK), Red-Eyes B. Dragon (2400 ATK), Skull Knight (2650 ATK), key cards like Dark Magician and Summoned Skull, plus several rare spells and traps like Raigeki and Swords of Revealing Light.

These cards are the most time-efficient to farm through targeted duelist drops rather than password redemption. For example, Meadow Mage drops Meteor Dragon at competitive rates, and many high-value cards appear in specific duelist drop pools.
